Next up we are looking at Intech Sol series trailers. We've already seen the NuCamp series with indoor toilets, you can see those posts here: NuCamp Tab 400, Tab 320 CS-S and the Tab 320 S. The CS-S has an outdoor kitchen and the S has an indoor kitchen.
Need a recap of what we are doing?
Bree is helping her Aunt Jane find a travel trailer for herself so she can camp with our family.
Jane's key features are
Fixed Bed
Less than 3500 lbs GVWR
Bathroom with flush toilet

You can see a video walkthrough of the Intech Sol Horizon here:
The Intech Sol Horizon is the largest of the Sol models. The model we are looking at has the Rover label which is a package they offer that includes slightly higher rise, off road tires and a tongue tie down rack which I love. There are also additional options for both the base and the rover models including a solar package, and a roof rack which is rare on a trailer this size.
Some basic specifications of the Intech Sol Horizon.
The layout for the Sol Horizon

The Horizon has a wet bath and sleeps up to 4, though I think that is 4 with small kids. the convertible bed is in between a twin and double sized at 48 x 80. The fixed bed is a full queen, you will sleep side to side in this.
The Horizon is 19 feet long long with a dry weight of between around 3200 and 3300 lbs and a max weight of between 3900 and 4000 lbs. It has a 32 gal combo black and grey tanks and a 28 gal fresh water tank.
This has hidden propane tanks with an option for dual tanks. I love this system because it really keeps your tanks out of the way and you can use this space in front for tie down storage if you have the Rover package.

The Horizon has an option for an outdoor kitchen, always one of my favorite features. You do give up storage for this of course. There is exterior storage access on the drivers side though.
There is also an option for a manual crank out awning which some of the other trailers we’ve reviewed don’t allow for. In my opinion this is much more convenient than the keder rail type awning that tear drops have to use because of the curved roof (we have this type on our Alto, it's not terrible to put up but takes 2 people).

Walking in this is laid out like most other trailers in this class. The Horizon has a kitchen along the door side with lots of drawers and a cabinet for storage. This has a huge sink which is great except there is basically no counter space in this at all.
In the front there is a great dinette that is U shaped and looks really comfortable for adults. Of course there are also some amazing windows in this trailer with the huge one along the back as well as good sized windows on all sides. This also has a lot of storage with overhead storage along the sides front and back.

The fridge is a 3,7 cu ft 3 way fridge and is up higher off the ground which I personally really like. You have a microwave over the fridge and your heat and AC are on the roof.
The bathroom is pretty simple but is set up so you don’t need a curtain to use the wet bath. There is a dedicated fan in the bathroom separate from the fan for the rest of the camper which is great for bathroom ventilation.
This has a fixed queen bed so no option for setting this up as seating but you get a real mattress. There is also a small drawer for storage under the bed.
Quick pros and cons
Pros
This is a beautiful trailer with huge windows that feels really nice to be in
There are lots of interior storage cabinets
U-shaped dinette may seat more people more comfortably than two bench seats
True queen bed
Cons
Heavy with a max weight of 4000 lbs with the Rover package, this is the heaviest trailer we looked at
While I like the large sink, there is no counter space in the kitchen
We liked this but it was too heavy for Jane. There is still more to look at before she decides, so subscribe to catch us next time!
