NuCamp TAB 320 CS-S tour

Updated: Mar 12, 2022

We are looking at the NuCamp Tab campers with indoor toilets. The first stop was the NuCamp Tab 400. Now we are looking at the 320 CS-S which has an outdoor kitchen, not on Jane's list but still worth a look!

Need a recap

Bree is helping her Aunt Jane find a travel trailer for herself so she can camp with our family.

Jane's key features are

  • Fixed Bed

  • Less than 3500 lbs GVWR

  • Bathroom with flush toilet

  • Compact

  • Dining table

  • Indoor kitchen

Want help looking for your own trailer or thinking about features? Check out this blog post about identifying key features here, or watch the video. Don't forget to use our free travel trailer guide to search using your own criteria!

You can see a video walkthrough of the nuCamp TAB 320 CS-S here:

nuCamp makes several tear drop trailers, including 2 320 models, the CS-S or clam shell, has an outdoor kitchen! One of my favorite trailer features. The one we are looking at has the boondock package which adds higher clearance, and off-road tires.

Some basic specifications of the nuCamp TAB 320 CS-S.

The layout for the TAB 320 CS-S

ree

The Tab CS-S has a wet bath and sleep 2. the convertible bed is a slightly smaller than a Queen bed 58 x 71” but you can set it up in multiple ways including having one side as a bed and one side as a seating area.

The Tab CS-S is 15 feet 3 inches long with a dry weight of 2075 lbs and a max weight of 2900 lbs. It has a 19 gal fresh water tank, 18 gal grey tank and a 5 gal black tank in the cassette toilet. This is 7 feet 9 inches tall so it is probably not quite going to fit in a standard garage (many are 7 feet tall) but you might get lucky and have a taller opening.

The exterior has a a rail where you can slide on an awning. Most of these will come with the convenience package which includes roof mounted solar panels, air conditioning and several other features. It also has an exterior shower built into the nautilus water management system.

Quick pros and cons

Pros
  • Big pro for me but not for Jane is the outdoor kitchen

  • There are lots of interior storage cabinets

  • Small but functional bathroom.

Cons
  • Short inside, the max ceiling height is 5' 9"

  • I’m not sure how functional these multiple sleeping options really are, the single sleep set up is only 58 inches long so you would be sleeping on less than 5 feet

  • Tiny bathroom, you would probably have to sit to shower if you are over 5’5"

  • Surprisingly heavy for something this small. It is 1000 lbs heavier than our trailer (Alto F1743)

  • For Jane, the con is the outdoor kitchen because she wants to camp in lots of different types of weather she isn’t interested in an exterior kitchen

I loved this but I don’t think it checked all of Jane’s boxes. There is still one more Tab to look at, so subscribe to catch us next time!

About Us

PXL_20210707_184050981.jpeg

We are a busy family who wants to help you get outside and have an adventure. A scientist by training, Bree got interested in travel trailers while we were searching for ours (Ben might call it an obsession). Whatever you call it, that research turned into this website when Bree realized that maybe someone else would listen to her talk about travel trailers! We both love to cook but Ben has mastered the art of organizing our meals and is excited to share those tips here.
